Trinity Mills is located at in the southeast quadrant of the President George Bush Turnpike and Interstate 35E interchange. This premier redevelopment area has high-visibility and the potential to capture east-west traffic from the Turnpike as well as north-south commuters from the interstate highway. Moreover, it is home to the largest publicly owned (nearly 26 acres) TOD site in DFW. In addition, it is one of the most connected sites with DART Green Line light rail service to Dallas and DCTA A-Train commuter service to Denton. Highway and rail connections to Love Field and DFW Internationally Airport can be made within 20 minutes.
Carrollton’s vision for the Trinity Mills Transit District is a modern streamlined aesthetic with very vertical, dense, mixed use developments that will create a new vibrant destination for the City and its environs. In keeping with today’s market trends, this new urban village will contain at least one high-rise marquis office building, a brand-name hotel, several restaurants, multi-family housing (for-sale and for-lease), and “3rd Space” amenities. In January 2014, the Carrollton City Council granted The Trammell Crow Company development rights to City and DART property. Access to the site will be greatly improved with the construction of the Dickerson Overpass and I-35E interchange. Traffic will access the transit center directly from I-35E.
