The City of Carrollton contracts with the City of Dallas for our community’s water supply. Dallas uses surface water from six sources: the Elm Fork of the Trinity River and Lakes Ray Roberts, Lewisville, Grapevine, Ray Hubbard and Tawakoni. Electric Power

Electric power has been deregulated throughout most of the state of Texas. Because of the deregulation, Carrollton consumers have the choice to choose their own retail electric providers (REPs). The City of Carrollton Economic Development Department ranked as the fourth largest North Texas Economic Development agency, according to the Dallas Business Journal (DBJ). Carrollton completed a total of 117 deals—five more than in 2012—with a total value of $313.80 million.
Construction on Old Denton Road (north of Raiford Road) brings new Raiford Crossing residential development to Central Carrollton. The project by Arcadia Realty will add 174 homes and town homes while tieing in the recent extension of the Blue Trail.
